Honourable Mhona completed his law studies five years ago and successfully sat for the BAR Conversion Exams with the Council for Legal Education (CLE), and he further pursued and completed his Master of Laws (LLM) in 2024.
In addition to his law credentials, Honourable Minister Felix Tapiwa Mhona also holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA), a bachelor’s degree in marketing, and a Diploma in Banking.
Addressing the media after the ceremony, He expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the Almighty for guiding and enabling him to achieve this remarkable milestone in his academic and professional journey.
“I want to start by thanking the Almighty God for this achievement, it’s not by my own strength or wisdom, but by His grace and mercy that I have reached this far.
“I am deeply grateful to the people of Chikomba East for their unwavering support and trust in me. This achievement is not just mine, but theirs as well,” he said.
Honourable Mhona also underscored his commitment to serving the nation, pledging to utilize his multifaceted expertise as a Lawyer, Legislator, and Minister to provide his utmost best to Zimbabwe.
“As I embark on this new chapter, I am committed to utilizing my expertise as a Lawyer, Legislator, and Minister to represent the people of Chikomba East Constituency and the nation at large with diligence, integrity, and unwavering dedication.
“This milestone is not just about me, but about the people who have supported me throughout my journey. I promise to continue working tirelessly on their behalf,” said Hon Mhona.
Advocate Eustinah Guta, the Legal Representative for Hon. Advocate Felix Tapiwa Mhona, was overjoyed and expressed her heartfelt jubilation immediately after the successful registration of her esteemed client at the High Court of Zimbabwe.
“This is the day that the Lord has made, let us rejoice and be glad in it. Allow me to extend my hearty congratulations to our brilliant, humble, hardworking, and diplomatic Hon Advocate Minister on his registration as a Legal Practitioner,” she said.
She further noted that Hon. Advocate Mhona’s successful registration as a Legal Practitioner was a testament to his unwavering hard work, unrelenting dedication, and unshakeable determination to excel in his legal career.
“This is a significant achievement that cannot be underestimated. After all, one cannot t just stroll into Mr. Price and pick up a Bachelor of Laws Honours Degree. It takes the right acumen and determination to work extra hard to obtain it and qualify as a fit and proper person for registration as Legal Practitioner. It is also not easy balancing responsibilities as a student, family man, MP, and Cabinet Minister.
“This speaks volumes about our Honourable Advocate Minister’s commitment and dedication to his studies. In our circles, we call him _”Chandaz”_ _’Chandagwinyira’_. When he sets his sights on a goal, he always hits the target, and we applaud him for that.
“His journey reminds me of Luke 14:28-30: ‘Suppose one of you wants to build a tower. Won’t you first sit down and estimate the cost to see if you have enough money to complete it’. I imagine that should be his childhood memory verse, right up there with ‘I will finish what I started!’ _vamwe vakagumira munzira_ because of lack of proper planning and procrastination. I warmly welcome our Hon Advocate Minister to the noble profession of law and look forward to his next registration as a Conveyancer and Notary public. He shouldn’t stop here, the sky’s the limit! congratulations, makorokoto,
Amhlope!,” she said.
