FC Platinum hosts Dynamos at Mandava Stadium in today’s Castle Lager Premier Soccer League match 14 and Dynamos is under fire to win big matches from its legion supporters who displayed placards during the match against Arenel.
In their 20 encounters, FC Platinum won 7 times, Dynamos won 6 times, and 7 matches ended in a draw.
Since the 2019 season, the matches between the two teams have ended in 0-0 draws.
Are the fans going to witness another draw today?
For Dynamos fans it will not be a surprise because their team has fast become draw specialists in the League.
The Genesis Mangombe coached side is failing to leave to the expectations of its 7 Million supporters.
Chazunguza, Mudzimu Unoyera, 7 Million supporters have fast become an ordinary team.
Failing to win game has left the fans disappointed and coach Kaka is under fire.
“Kaka dzoka kuYadah, maivako vari kudana, Kaka dzoka kuYadah,” sang 7 Million after the game against Arenel Movers last weekend.
“12 games, 2 Wins, Taneta kurova dzakabva D1, Paumire pakaoma,” read placards which were displayed by 7 Mita at Vietnam last weekend.
The message was aimed at Head Coach Genesis Mangombe and it was delivered.
One wonders who sponsored the professionally made placards, but that is part of the most beautiful game.
Fans go extra miles to support their team and I personally remember absconding school back in 2008 when Chelsea lost the UEFA Champions League Final in Moscow.
Captain John Terry slipped, and the rest was history and Manchester United won the penalty shootout.
Congratulations Manchester United for winning the FA Cup.
Glory Man United!
At least you finished the season with a trophy, a London team was far, yet to near and it was the same old story.
But focus is at Mandava when the blue army invades the city today.
Is the match going to end in another draw?
The Dynamos Fans want a win at all costs and the team must prove that they can beat big team rather than winning against newly promoted teams.
Dynamos are now in the top 7 with 19 points after being awarded 3 goals and 3 points of the abandoned match against Chegutu Pirates at Baobab last month.
3 points from another newly promoted side Zaire.
The Genesis Mangombe, Lloyd ‘Mablanyo’ Chigove staff is under fire.
I remember when I tried my luck to be a professional footballer after High school back in 2009 and Mablanyo, Dynamos assistant coach was the Head coach for the defunct AMC then.
What transpired during the trials is a story for another day.
The tall and slim guy like a cat has many lives at Dembare, from being Assistant to Head Coach, Assistant etc.
Will they produce a miracle and win against FC Platinum today?
FC Platinum,Pure Platinum Play is struggling this season, though it is on second position with 25 points.
Norman Mapeza who was relieved as Interim Warriors Coach will have to pray star player Juan Mutudza is going to be the game changer and win the game for the Mandava based side.
Oh! Here comes the ZIFA Normalisation Committee.
Who are these guys?
They have appointed a New Warriors Technical Staff on an interim basis again.
Manica Diamonds Coach Jairos Tapera is now the Warriors gaffer.
I know most of you do not know the guy.
But a familiar name Sunday ‘Mhofu Marimo’ Chidzambwa is there on the list as Technical Director.
Is this Coaching staff going to deliver?
Only time will tell.
Manica Diamonds fans won’t hesitate to give you a YES as an answer.
Tapera has just won the Castle Lager Premier Soccer League Coach of the month in April.
Therefore, basing on the form of the local coaches he is the right man.
He has transformed the Manicaland based side which started the season bad and they now sit on the summit of the Castle Lager Premier Soccer League Log Table with 26 points.
Since ZIFA is upholding the Indigenisation program Tapera is the man, assisted by Takesure Chiragwi, Saul Chaminuka and Sunday Chidzambwa as Technical Director.
Go Warriors Go!!
But before I come back to the Mandava encounter, who is the goalkeepers coach?
Only Lincoln Mutasa and his team can answer.
My Words to the Normalisation Committee is Mauricio Pochettino, Jose Mourinho, Xavi, David Moyes, Zidane, Allegri, De zerbi are looking for a Coaching job.
Will the Namibian Sadney Uri-khob find the back of the net again today?
Or is it going to be Juan Mutudza?
The fans at Mandava will tell you.
Rest in Peace Legend Nelson Matongorere.
Your commitment to the development of football in Zimbabwe won’t be forgotten.
Makepekepe, Shaisa Mufaro is picking points here and there and hope the form will continue.
Young Bunjira is a great player and that is the reason why his father was furious with Nyahwa foul during the Harare derby.
Congratulation Chelsea Women’s team for winning the League.
Musha mukadzi ka, continue to Keep The Blue Flag Flying High, Up Up Blues, Blue is the Colour.
Fare thee well Toni Kroos, the waiter.
HALA MADRID!!!.
