Dynamos Football Club would like to confirm that we have reached an agreement with TelOne FC for the transfer of our captain and defender Frank Makarati.
The number number 4 was still contracted to Dynamos and had a year left on his deal,” read the club’s statement.
The move brings to an end a hugely successful four-year stay at DeMbare for the centre back who joined us from Ngezi Platinum Stars in February 2021.
During his time at the Club, the 30-year-old became a regular feature at the heart of the Glamour Boys’ defence.
Eventually, he was named the DeMbare captain at the start of the 2023 season following the departure of Partson Jaure.
“Frank’s name will go down in history as the first Dynamos captain to the lift the Chibuku Super Cup trophy twice in a row. He helped the Club win the country’s premier knockout competition for the first time in 2023.
“Frank was also instrumental as we successfully defended the trophy last year. Everyone at Dynamos FC wishes Frank the very best of luck as he embarks on the next stage of his career,” said the statement.
Makarati joins the likes of Donald Mudadi, Emanuel Ziocha, Sadney Urikhob, Tanaka Shandirwa, Issah Sadiki, Kevin and Elvis Moyo who has already left the Glamour Boys this coming season.
Assistant coach Joel Luphahla also left the Harare giants and was unveiled at Wadzanayi Stadium where he took the reigns as Simba Bhora Head Coach from Tonderai Ndiraya.
Scottland FC has made its check book open with more than 10 signings for this coming season, whereas the Champions, Simba Bhora lost about 13 players so far.
Dynamos Football Club is yet to announce major signings this year to bolster their squad ahead of the league and the CAF Confederation Cup.
